LOS ANGELES, September 22 – Boxing fans will have plenty to be thankful for Saturday, Nov. 27 when Golden Boy Promotions celebrates Thanksgiving Day weekend with a 12-round championship battle between two of boxing’s most exciting warriors — Ring Magazine, World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) Lightweight World Champion Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez and WBO Interim Lightweight World Champion Michael “The Great” Katsidis — at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas..
“Warriors: Marquez vs. Katsidis,” a 12-round World Championship bout, will be presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Marquez Boxing Promotions, and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and DeWalt Tools. The bout will be televised live on HBO’s World Championship Boxing beginning at 9:45 pm ET / 6:45 pm PT.

While that would be enough for some, the 37-year-old “Dinamita” is far from finished, and considering that his resume over the last three years includes wins over the likes of Marco Antonio “Barreta” Barrera, Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz (twice) and Joel “Cepillo” Casamayor, there’s no question there’s plenty of gas left in this legendary fighter’s tank.
