Tyson Fury today publicly confirmed the date of October 29th for his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko. Fury – last seen enjoying himself at the Euros, supporting England, as well as buying football fans drinks and no doubt downing a few himself – took to Twitter earlier today to both confirm the rematch date and post a picture of himself, one which appears to show he is in perhaps surprisingly good shape.

“16 weeks until I blast @Klitschko spark out,#& still!!!! Can’t wait #manchesteroctober29 letshaveit,” was Fury’s message on social media.

Perhaps of more interest is the photo, showing Fury, clad in boxing shorts and flexing his muscles. Fury does look to be in far greater physical condition than would perhaps be expected; especially after all the recent partying his ankle injury is reported to have brought on. Fury looks quite toned, his body nothing at all like it was when he infamously took off his t-shirt at THAT Manchester press conference back in April.

So, is Fury back and fully focused on the task in hand, namely that of proving to the world that his November 2015 points win over Klitschko was no fluke? For now it looks like it, yes. Let’s all hope Fury works hard over the coming 16 weeks until the eagerly anticipated return, and does not either go off the rails or suffer another injury.

Will Fury go for the KO this time? Will Klitschko let his hands go as he has vowed to do and look for a redeeming KO win of his own? Which fighter will benefit most from the July 9 postponement? Will fight-two be exciting? Fury is back where he should be, in training, and for now it looks as though we will get our answers this October; just two days before Halloween.
