The heavyweight veteran says Joshua will stop Fury early if the long-awaited British showdown finally happens later this year

Derek Chisora believes Anthony Joshua will knock out Tyson Fury within four rounds if the British heavyweight rivals finally meet later this year. Chisora, who shared the ring with Fury three times, made the prediction while discussing the proposed November showdown.

Chisora, who fought Fury three times during his career, said he believes Joshua will stop Fury early once they finally share the ring.

“The problem with Tyson is that he is jealous, because AJ will do more numbers, more viewers, than he did in his fight on Netflix. This is simple maths,” Chisora told Sun Sport.

“He’s going to come in there and talk crap, he can talk so much crap, but at the end of the day, I say this now – Tyson and AJ? AJ will knock him out in four rounds.”

Chisora also pointed to Joshua’s upcoming fight with Prenga as part of the rebuilding process after several difficult years that included losses to Oleksandr Usyk and a stoppage defeat against Daniel Dubois.

“Tyson can say whatever he wants to say. AJ is having a warm-up fight, he has been through a lot, it is in Saudi because the war is done, so we are going to Saudi now for Riyadh Season.”

Fury returned in April with a decision win over Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a fight that drew criticism from some fans due to the lack of action. Joshua has not beaten a recognized professional boxer since 2023, outside of his crossover wins against Francis Ngannou and Jake Paul.

Both heavyweights are still expected to take separate tune-up fights before a targeted November showdown.
