Terence Crawford Sees Devin Haney Giving Keyshawn Davis Problems

The former four-division champion believes Haney’s size at 147 pounds will trouble Keyshawn Davis and every other elite contender.

Terence Crawford believes Devin Haney has become one of the division’s toughest fighters since moving to welterweight. Ahead of Haney’s ordered WBO title defense against Keyshawn Davis, Crawford pointed to the champion’s size and ring skills as major advantages at 147 pounds.

“Devin’s a nice size 147, and Devin going to be hard to beat, too. Ain’t nobody just going in there. Those two fighters right there, they gonna make each other great and it’s going to be a tough fight for both of them. Throw Keyshawn in there and it’s going to be hell as well. Throw Tank in there, it’s going to be hell as well,” said Crawford to The Real Report with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda

Rather than favoring one boxer over the other, the retired world champion grouped Haney among the leading names at welterweight. He also included Keyshawn Davis, Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson in that conversation, saying each presents unique problems for any opponent.

Haney holds the WBO welterweight title after moving up from the lighter divisions. Davis, an Olympic silver medalist and former lightweight titleholder, has steadily climbed into contention, setting up one of the biggest available fights at welterweight.

Crawford stopped short of predicting a winner, but he made it clear that Haney belongs among the division’s best. He expects the champion’s style and ring skills to force every elite contender to earn a victory.
