Canelo and Crawford Make Weight at 167.5 for Super Middleweight Showdown

Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford have both hit the scale – this behind closed doors – ahead of their massively hyped and anticipated super middleweight showdown. And, with both men tipping-in at the exact same weight, this being 167.5 pounds, it’s absolutely fair to say that both men appear to be in magnificent shape.

Both future Hall of Famers are sporting abs, an apparent lack of any and all excess fat. While both modern greats made weight without having to struggle in any way. This is no shock; Canelo has been operating at the 168 pound division for some time now, while Crawford knew he had no pressure in terms of making any weight limit, coming up as he is to super middleweight, this from 154.

Canelo Looks Chiselled, Crawford Looks Comfortable

Canelo, though, really does seem to have pushed his body hard, this at age 35. The Mexican star is never in bad physical shape, but here, today, the multi-weight champ looked to be more chiselled than he has perhaps ever been.

Crawford seems to have added the weight, the muscle, in a wholly non-detrimental manner, and “Bud” looks to be sleek at the highest poundage of his career.

All Eyes on Vegas

More than enough has been written about tomorrow’s big fight in Vegas, and now, with both men having hit the weight without any issue, all we fans can do as we await the opening bell is hope for a great fight that lives up to the hype. Maybe even surpasses it.

Both men have clearly done their work in the gym in preparation for the fight. Now, we want both men to put on a memorable performance in the ring.

Pick: Canelo via decision – and very possibly a controversial one.
