The great Lennox Lewis is on record as saying Ray Mercer, who Lewis won a close decision over in a great action fight in May of 1996, is the man who have him THE hardest fight of his career.
There are some KO’s from the sport of boxing that may not be an overly obvious pick for a favorite. This may be because the KO took place in a fight that wasn’t that big, it may be because the KO took place in a largely one-sided fight, or it might be because the KO took place in a fight that was fought in a less than attractive weight division.
One of the fighters I really wish I’d seen Mike Tyson fight, along with David Tua, is Ray Mercer. Both fights could have happened, yet for whatever reason or reasons, they didn’t take place.
