Jermell Charlo/Joachim Alcine Fight for PBC Halloween ‘Freak Show’
The latest mismatch to roll off of the Premier Boxing Champions production line pits unbeaten super welterweight contender Jermell Charlo (26-0, 11ko) against long faded 39 year old former world champion Joachim Alcine (35-7-2, 21ko), it was announced yesterday.
The fight will take place on NBC in the US, in Charlo’s Texas backyard. The date? October 31st, Halloween night – quite fitting for what is a freak-show of a match-up that can only seriously be described as akin to legalised murder!

Vanes Martirosyan on Jermell Charlo – ‘I’ma beat his butt’, ‘he’s scared of me’
Vanes Martirosyan is going to be taking on Jermell Charlo in March to determine a legitimate threat in the super welterweight division. It wouldn’t be surprising if the winner of this fight were to land a super fight somewhere down the line against the likes of Saul Alvarez or a title fight vs someone like Demetrius Andrade or Cornelius Bundrage.
2014/2015 Previews & Reviews: Wladimir Klitschko, Deontay Wilder, Bermane Stiverne, Demetrius Andrade, Mikey Garcia, Abner Mares, Jermell Charlo, & Felix Verdejo
WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO
2014 was simply a continuation of the pattern Klitschko has seen for quite some time now. Two unknown opponents, two more victories, and two more defenses of a title that he’s rarely been tested for. While critics will jump at the chance to tear down this ‘great wall’ of talent, the truth is that no talent can choose the era in which they dominate.
Wladimir unfortunately came along at a point where the talent pool in the heavyweight division is about as tough as that last ply of toilet paper on the roll. No fault of his own, which has to mean something when scanning over his lifeless resume. 2015 could offer a few interesting twist, as suddenly, the heavyweight division has received a shot in the arm that few saw coming.
