Legendary Trainer Emanuel Steward Holds First Boxing Clinic in Europe

London, UK – Boxing legend and founder of Detroit’s famous Kronk Gym, Emanuel Steward is putting on a boxing clinic in the UK – Steward will bring his ring savvy to the London Hilton on Park Lane Hotel on January 23.

He will cover all the fundamentals of the sport – from punching and hand wrapping to conditioning and boxing
secrets – based on years of experience in the sport boxing. This will make this clinic invaluable for anyone involved or interested in boxing.

Steward, this past year has conducted clinics in the United States. These clinic have become must-attend events for amateur and professional boxers, trainers, conditioning coaches, officials, MMA enthusiasts and boxing fans. This is the first time he is conducting a clinic in Europe.

”I began these clinics because I wanted to share my years of experience.” Steward said. “I have seen the good and the bad. I have learned valuable lessons, which I want to pass along to those truly interested in the sport.”

He is particularly concerned about the lack of standardized requirements or certification for those who want to become a trainer, manager or cut-man.

“The liability factor is great when it comes to the safety of the fighter.” Steward said. “These clinics are designed to address these issues.”

Steward has been immersed in boxing for the past 50-plus years. He himself was a former U.S. National Golden
Gloves Champion. In 1996 he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, as manager/trainer. He has trained or managed 41 world champions.

Currently Steward is training World Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko and Jr. Middleweight World
Champions Miguel Cotto and K9 Bundradge and Light Heavyweight World Champion Chad Dawson, in addition to
being HBO’s expert boxing analyst.

Joining Steward at the clinic will be the UK’s own Errol Christie, who will be signing his autobiography, “No Place to Hide.”Once a leading contender in the ring and now a trainer, Christie has become widely known for teaching business executives how to fight at London’s Gym Box, in a special class of competition called White Collar Boxing, which is growing in popularity worldwide.

In 1984, Errol trained at the Kronk Gym. Under the tutelage of Steward, he sparred with such world-class boxers as Thomas Hearns, Hilmer Kenty, Mike McCallum, Mark Breland, Thomas Tate and Milton McCrory.

Boxing enthusiasts who have attended Steward’s clinics have raved about the experience.

“If you have never attended Emanuel Steward’s Boxing Clinics, you should beat yourself up,” said Kenny Weldon
of Houston, Texas, who attended a clinic in Dallas. “He is a great teacher, who can explain details that can make a difference between winning and loosing. “He knows more boxing than most people on earth today. If you really wish to talk boxing and understand the reality of the sport, go see his clinic and thank him for what he has done for the sport and the thousands of kids he has worked with”.

The clinic will take place at the London Hilton on Park Lane Hotel, located at 22 Park Lane in London.
