Flores ready to impress in Hook City

LAS VEGAS (July 24, 2009)—Undefeated Cruiserweight contender, B.J. “El Peligroso” Flores is looking for a dance partner for his ten round co-feature spot on the Roy Jones-Jeff Lacy Pay-Per-View contest that will take place on August 15th in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Flores, 23-0-1 with fourteen knockouts and his promoter Square Ring have been scouring high and low looking for a suitable opponent that will serve as a major steppingstone in his quest to become Cruiserweight champion of the world.

“We have offered the fight to some quality guys for pretty good money.” said Flores

“I figure that being on a big Pay-Per-View event that features the legendary Roy Jones Jr. and a chance to knock off an undefeated fighter with high rankings across the board would entice some of these guys but its been difficult for our team which includes John Wirt and matchmaker Eric Bottjer to secure a suitable opponent. I want to fight the best and after a win on August 15th the fans will see me fight one of the big names in the division.”

“I had a wonderful time fighting in the Gulf Coast back in March when I defeated Jose Luis Herrera and I think many of the fans who supported me that night will be there in Biloxi so I am excited for that opportunity.”

“I know i have to be impressive on Aug 15”.

Square Ring matchmaker Eric Bottjer conquered with Flores.

“It has been a hard time getting an opponent in the NABO rankings.” said Bottjer.

“We offered the fight to Vsilly Jirov who is a former world champion and sports a record of 37-2, undefeated Ran Nakash (19-0) , Alfredo Escalara Jr. and Felix Cora. Shawn Hawk actually took less money to fight on ESPN and some of the other guys are just overpricing themselves.”

Flores also wanted to send condolences out to his former stable mate under the Main Events banner in Arturo Gatti.

“Man I was shocked when I heard the news. I had many opportunities to meet and hang out with him. I fought on one of his undercards in Atlantic City and because of him, it gave me a chance to showcase my skills on a major card in front of a large audience on the East Coast and for that I will always be thankful to him. He was a great guy and will be truly be missed and I send out my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends
