Back to Back 1st Round KO’s for Flores!

Undefeated cruiserweight phenom BJ Flores, 17-0 (12 KO’s), has registered back to back 1st round KO’s in his first two fights at cruiserweight. With consecutive 1st round KO’s over Gary Dydell and Ali Supreme, Flores has put the entire cruiserweight division on notice. The kid with best jab in the game is showing that he has the big right hand coming directly behind it. When talking about the how his power feels at the new weight Flores explained, “I absolutely feel more powerful. I am at my right weight. I wasn’t looking for the KO’s. I was patient and it worked out that way. It happened naturally.”

In what many describe as “the best jab in boxing,” Flores believes that his new weight gives him the ability to use the jab even more effectively. “What I’ve been seeing myself doing is setting up my power shots with my jab, but now I also use all different kinds of jabs to set up the other punches.” At his new weight, an arsenal has opened up not only because of his natural power, but because of his size, frame and reach. Simply put, in moving down to cruiserweight BJ Flores has become a bigger, more powerful and much more technically advanced fighter.

The next fight for Flores will take place on November 25th in Mcallem Texas. The fighters that are being considered by Team Flores are Chad Van Sickle and Dan Harvison. The Flores fight will be featured as the main event and shown on tape delay on INHD. Being featured and televised is one major draw that brought BJ to the Silverhawk Entertainment Group, but the most important step that will be taken on November 25 th is establishing himself with two of the four major sanctioning bodies.

Team Flores plans on becoming ranked within both the IBF and the WBC and within two or three fights, taking a shot at a major strap. “Hopefully, within two or three fights, I will be ready for the title,” explains the ambitious Flores. “My time is coming.”

With consecutive 1st round KO’s at a weight that brings more power, size and better technique, the eyes of the boxing world will soon be focused on the newest contender in the cruiserweight division, undefeated phenom, BJ Flores.
