Thompson Boxing to Feature an All around Great Card at the Legendary Los Angeles Athletic Club

Los Angeles, CA – Thompson Boxing Promotions proudly announces what will be its third show in only 28 days. This time the Los Angeles Athletic Club will host its annual “Fight Night” extravaganza with four stellar bouts. The main event will feature two heavy handed punchers in a welterweight clash. Antonio Soriano, from Mexico City, (12-5-1, 9 KOs) will face Juan Pablo Montes de Oca, from Las Vegas, (7-9-2, 4 KOs), in a six-round main event..

In his last outing, Soriano dispatched Antony Charnell in only three rounds to prove he is a force to be reckoned with. The tough Montes de Oca is no stranger to knockouts; the last time he fought he simply devastated the crowd-favorite Gustavo Torrales in only 1:42 of the first round.

The semi main event will also feature some fireworks as Ramiro Reducindo, from La Paz, Mexico (5-0, 3 KOs) faces Derek Andrews, from Dallas, (6-2, 2 KOs) in a six-round cruiserweight war. Reducindo is a former Mexican Olympian boxer who participated in the Athens 2004 Olympic games and is the former 2003 Pan American Gold Medalist in the light heavyweight division. His opponent, Andrews, is more than ready to face the young Mexican and challenge his undefeated record.

Also, super featherweight Tomas Barragan, from Palm Springs, (4-1) will face Odilon River, from Los Angeles, (5-8-2, 3 KOs). This four round bout is a rematch of a highly entertaining fight in which both fighters visited the canvas twice. That time Barragan had a slight advantage and won the bout by decision. Rivera has been waiting for a chance to redeem himself.

Finally, heavyweight Chris Green, from Denver (3-1, 3 KOs) will face Cornell Davis, from Sun Valley, (1-3) in a four round fight.
