Fury compares Joshua’s reaction to Dubois’ power with Usyk, Hrgovic, Miller, and Wardley
Tyson Fury questioned Anthony Joshua’s durability after Daniel Dubois stopped Fabio Wardley to win the WBO heavyweight title on Saturday night. Fury pointed to Dubois’ recent fights and argued Joshua reacted differently to the same punching power.
Fury revisited Dubois’ recent fights after Dubois stopped Fabio Wardley in the 11th round on Saturday night in Manchester to win the WBO heavyweight title.
“Dubois fought Big Baby Miller, stopped him, but never put him down. Then he fought Hrgovic, stopped him, but never put him down. He fought Wardley in an unbelievable fight, stopped him and never put him down,” said Fury to insider Mike Coppinger on X.
“He hit Usyk with some big bombs, never put him over. But yet he fights Anthony Joshua and pummels him to the floor five times.”
Fury then mocked Joshua while comparing his reaction to Dubois’ punches against other heavyweight opponents.
“I’m not saying Anthony Joshua’s chinless, but they’re the facts. Take it as you wish and as you will,” said Fury. “Everybody else never went over. Not a singular person. Big Baby Miller, Hrgovic, Usyk or Wardley. But Joshua goes down five times.
“Chinny, get up, plank,” Fury said while laughing.
Fury and Joshua are still expected to meet later this year after both heavyweights take interim fights during the summer. Joshua is already scheduled to face Kristian Prenga in July, while Fury is expected to return before their reported Riyadh Season showdown later in 2026.
The comments are part of Fury’s ongoing verbal attacks toward Joshua as anticipation continues building around their long-discussed fight.
The two former heavyweight champions spent years competing separately at the top of the division before serious negotiations finally moved closer to completion following Fury’s recent comeback victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.
