Keyshawn Davis Warns Conor Benn To “Stay Away” From Him

Davis told Benn to “stay away” as talk around future fights at 147 pounds continues to grow

Keyshawn Davis issued a public warning to Conor Benn ahead of Saturday’s rematch with Nahir Albright in Norfolk, Virginia. Davis told the unbeaten British welterweight to “stay away” from him as speculation continues around future crossover fights involving both fighters.

“Conor Benn, you better stay away from me,” said Davis to Fighthype ahead of his rematch this weekend against Nahir Albright at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.

“I’m just giving you a fair warning. You better stay away from me.

“Leave me alone if you wanna stay in that position.”

Davis currently campaigns at 140 pounds but has repeatedly discussed eventually moving up in weight for major fights if the opportunity makes sense financially and competitively.

Benn has spent recent months calling out several American fighters following his move into the Zuffa Boxing system.

The unbeaten Brit, who holds a 25-0 record with 14 knockouts, defeated Regis Prograis by decision last month at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London after previously avenging his loss to Chris Eubank Jr. in their rematch last November.

That performance against Prograis pushed Benn closer to a possible fight against Ryan Garcia later this year. Benn has also publicly targeted Devin Haney, Shakur Stevenson and Rolando Romero as future opponents in the United States.

The 27-year-old now faces Albright in a rematch after their first fight in October 2023 in Rosenberg, Texas, was later changed to a no contest following Davis’ positive marijuana test.

Their original meeting initially ended as a majority decision victory for Davis before the result was officially overturned months later.
