Alan Chaves stopped Miguel Madueno in the third round in his U.S. debut in Las Vegas. The unbeaten lightweight closed the fight at 1:26 with a clean left hand to move to 22-0.

Alan Chaves (22-0, 19 KOs) made a loud statement in his U.S. debut Saturday night, knocking out Miguel Madueno (31-5, 28 KOs) in the third round at Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The unbeaten lightweight southpaw from San Miguel, Buenos Aires, recently signed with Matchroom Boxing, and he looked like a fighter worth watching. Chaves took command early with sharp combinations, accurate body shots, and cleaner timing against the experienced Madueno.

By the third round, he had full control.

Chaves set up a crushing left hand that landed flush and sent Madueno down hard. The Mexican contender fell flat on the canvas and did not beat the count, bringing an immediate end to the fight. Referee Harvey Dock waved it off without delay.

It was a cold finish against a veteran known for toughness and power, which made the knockout stand out even more. Madueno had shared the ring with respected names and was expected to test the unbeaten prospect, but Chaves, 25, gave him little chance to settle.

“It’s a moment that comes in the perfect time for me. This dream that I’ve had to be here on this stage right now. It’s come at exactly the right time. I feel like I’m going into my best moment of my peak. I’m ready to face any fighter. Put any fighter in front of me, and I’ll knock them out,” said Chaves.

The bout served as the chief support to Jarrell Miller vs. Lenier Pero.

Chaves now moves to 22-0 with 19 knockouts, and this kind of finish will get attention quickly. Some knockouts come from chaos. This one came from timing, placement, and calm execution.
