Sauerland Protests Kessler-Sartison, Bidenko-Sprott, More

By Per Ake Persson: Sauerland Event have lodged an official protest to the WBA about the planned Mikkel Kessler vs Dmitri Sartison fight June 21 in Brondby, Denmark. Sauerland´s point is that Kessler´s opponent should have been # 3 rated Danilo Haussler and not # 4 Sartison. Mogens Palle insist that Kessler vs Sartison is on and will go ahead. His point is that Haussler does not deserve to be # 3 in the first place with only one fight in two years and losses to Kessler´s ex-stablemates Mads Larsen and Rudy Markussen.. Chris Meyer, CEO for Sauerland, argues that Haussler is # 3 and should thus have his chance. The only opening he leaves for Kessler vs Sartison to happen is that Haussler is paid a stepaside fee. The WBA isn´t expected to make any decisions until Mundine vs Soliman has taken place. Should Soliman, at one time a very respected sparring for both the Team Palle and Sauerland stars, pull off an upset and beat Mundine we will have a new situation.
