KEA Boxing “Brawls at the Birchwood III” Sat. June 23rd

June 19, 2007- Whippany , New Jersey, – KEA Boxing is turning up the heat as they head into their 9th show on Saturday June 23rd. The “Brawls at the Birchwood III” is a preview of tomorrow’s champions as there are 6 undefeated fighters on the stacked 9-bout card. The card also features several live underdogs.. There will certainly be fireworks in the ring and more than likely a few upsets.

In one of the featured bouts of the evening, Wildwood, NJ’s pride, light-heavyweight Chuck “The Professor” Mussachio, 9-0, 5 KO’s squares off with Chandler Durham, 6-3, 1, 3 KO’s. Durham is a tough Philadelphia fighter who boxes out of Joe Frazier’s gym and plans to bring “Smoking Joe” with him. Mussachio, who is also a schoolteacher, was an accomplished amateur with over 100 amateur fights.

Super-middleweight crowd favorite, Bayonne, NJ’s Bobby Rooney, 5-2-1, 3 KO’s, heads into the ring against undefeated Terrance “The Truth” Wilson, 3-0, 2 KO’s who has KO’d his last 2 opponents. Rooney is returning from a layoff of a little over a year and he feels the rest will help him, as he is ready to impress his home crowd.

Antonio “Tony the Tiger” Espinosa, 8-0, 1 KO will be looking to add his 4 th win since signing a promotional deal with KEA Boxing. Espinosa is a slick boxing southpaw who is a hot prospect. He will be locking horns with a tough opponent in Edward Valdez, 3-4-2, 2 KO’s who sports a deceiving record. Valdez has never been stopped, and he has already scored several upsets in his career, including a draw against Danny McDermott, who is also on the card.

Newark, New Jersey ‘s light middleweight, Alex “The Brickcity Bullet” Perez, 7-0, 5 KO’s heads into the ring against Jesse Williams, 3-3-1, 1 KO. Perez, who has recently been in camp with Miguel Cotto and Joel Julio, is another impressive prospect to add to the watch list. The hard punching southpaw has a high KO ratio, and leather will not be at a premium when Perez takes to the stage.

Tommy “The Razor” Rainone, 7-0, 2 KO’s is making the trip from Plainview, Long Island to take on tough Philadelphia fighter Jaime Morales, 3-3, 1 KO. Morales is known in Philly for being an action fighter and Rainone is excited to fight such a tough customer in his first 6 round bout. Rainone is coming off of a 2nd round KO in his last fight which took place at the Citadel in Charleston , SC, on KEA Boxing’s “War in the South”.

Heavyweight, Kevin Burnett, 8-1-1, 6 KO’s who is also coming off of an impressive 2nd round knockout at KEA’s “War in the South” is an exciting 6′ 7″ heavyweight. Burnett is looking to stretch his current winning streak to 5 in a row.

Former Arturo Gatti stable mate, super featherweight Danny McDermott, 3-0-1 of Jersey City, NJ is returning f to the ring after a year and a half lay off.

Noriko Kariya, 6-2-1 , 1 KO, sister of the Kariya brothers of the NHL takes on Savannah “The Lioness” Hill, 5-5, 4 KO’s. Hill has won 5 of her last 7.
