“Fight Night In The Midlands” To Be Held Saturday, November 5, 2005

Columbia, SC -(October 26, 2005) – An evening of action-packed professional boxing will be held live at the Jamil Shrine Temple during “Fight Night In The Midlands” Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 8 p.m. Presented by Dream Fight Boxing Promotions, this event will introduce and offer residents of the Columbia Riverbanks Region a venue for professional live boxing. This event was rescheduled due to Hurricane Rita.

In the main event, a lightweight explosion will feature Columbia’s own Corey “Bad Boy” Goodwin vs. Mexican native Louise “El Toro” Hernandez. This will be a classic match-up of boxer vs slugger. An exciting Middleweight rivalry between two gyms in Columbia will also take place when Whiterock Boxing’s Marcus “Molina” Brooks squares off with Total Packages’ Tyrone Spearman. Heavyweight sensation Moultrie Witherspoon from Whiterock Boxing will be putting his undefeated record on the line as he punches his way towards a heavyweight title sometime next year, and Johnnie “Molina” Brooks the other half of the Molina Brothers. Also from Columbia will be Kaytel “Mr Fa’ Ness” in a Heavyweight matchup.

Tickets can be purchased at Hooters, Jamil Shrine Temple, Fort Jackson Community Center or by calling (803) 238-0403. For more information on the event and sponsorship opportunities, contact Corey Goodwin at (803) 238-0292.
