Hard Hitting Prospect To Face Edison Miranda on October 21

HOLLYWOOD, FL, October 14 – Well-regarded Middleweight prospect Sherwin Davis has been added to the explosive October 21st “Rumble at the Rock” undercard to face unbeaten Middleweight contender Edison Miranda in a scheduled ten round bout to be aired live on pay-per-view from the Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, Florida.

“Rumble at The Rock”, which is presented by Warriors Boxing Promotions, Inc., in association with Cedric Kushner Promotions, features an electrifying heavyweight matchup between David “The Tuaman” Tua and Cisse “Cool C” Salif, as well as high-impact bouts between Jameel McCline and Zuri Lawrence, and Yuri Foreman and Troy Lowry.

The InDemand pay-per-view broadcast begins at 9pm ET / 6pm PT. Suggested retail price is $24.95.

Warriors Boxing Promotions, Inc. is also pleased to announce that a portion of the proceeds generated from “Rumble at The Rock” will be donated to various agencies which are focusing on the Gulf Coast Hurricane Relief Effort.

“October 21st is a winning night for everyone involved,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Warriors Boxing Promotions Inc. “The fans get a great night of boxing, the boxers get an opportunity to better their position in the fight game, and most importantly, we get to help those who were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. This is a night where you can proudly say that you’re a boxing fan.”

Sherwin Davis (18-1, 12 KOs), a native of Indianapolis, is a hard-hitting middleweight with the skills to handle himself on the world stage against anyone. Owner of a knockout win over former Olympian Dante Craig that put him on the map in 2001, Davis’ only defeat was in a hard-fought battle against ‘The Contender’ finalist Peter Manfredo Jr. Since that lone blemish, Davis scored a decisive eighth round knockout of Nelson Manchego in July, and is primed for a run at Miranda on October 21st.

Concussive punching Middleweight Edison Miranda (24-0, 21 KOs) came to the United States from Colombia in 2005 with a well-deserved reputation as a decisive knockout artist (15 first round knockouts will do that). But since his arrival in Florida, Miranda has showed that he is more than just a puncher, as he has displayed impressive boxing skills in outboxing tough foes Sam Reese and Jose Varela. The 24-year-old from Buenaventura likes the KO though, and he’s got an eye on an early night come October.
