No Limit Boxing confirmed Liam Wilson’s bout with Fulton was scrapped hours before fight night, with Paulo Aokuso promoted to the main card.
Stephen Fulton Jr.’s scheduled bout with Liam Wilson was canceled on Saturday after Fulton failed to make weight at the official weigh-in in Sydney. No Limit Boxing confirmed the fight would not proceed, forcing a late change to the Tim Tszyu vs. Errol Spence Jr. undercard.
“The bout between Stephen Fulton Jr. and Liam Wilson will not proceed after Fulton failed to make weight at this morning’s official weigh-in. The contest has been canceled,” No Limit Boxing stated.
The change removes one of the featured bouts from the card headlined by Tim Tszyu’s clash with Errol Spence Jr.
With Fulton vs. Wilson off the show, Olympian Paulo Aokuso has been elevated to the main card. The Australian light heavyweight will face Luis Tejeda of the Dominican Republic.

It’s been a rough run for the Tszyu-Spence undercard. First, Jermall Charlo’s fight was removed from the show. Now, Fulton vs. Wilson has been canceled after Fulton missed weight, leaving the card without what many considered its two marquee supporting bouts.
No additional information was provided regarding how far Fulton was over the contracted limit or if any attempt was made to salvage the fight before the decision was reached.
