Tyson says little is confirmed after earlier plans stalled

Mike Tyson says he cannot confirm details about a proposed exhibition with Floyd Mayweather. The fight has yet to receive an official date or venue.

“There’s not much I can talk on,” Tyson told Casino.org about the Mayweather exhibition fight. “But it’s pretty interesting.”

Tyson and Mayweather were initially linked to a high-profile exhibition earlier this year, but the planned spring timetable passed without an official date or venue announcement.

“I’m just happy that I’m in the condition I’m in to be able to do this to the degree that I can,” Tyson added.

The situation around the fight has become more complicated in recent months as Mayweather has also discussed:

  • a June exhibition against kickboxer Mike Zambidis
  • a possible Manny Pacquiao rematch

Questions have also continued around whether the Pacquiao fight would be a professional bout or another exhibition after conflicting comments from both camps.

Tyson previously revealed he suffered a hand injury during training earlier this year, which may have contributed to delays surrounding the Mayweather event.

Despite the uncertainty, Tyson stopped short of saying the fight was dead.
