Prenga says Joshua’s recent setbacks have opened the door for a shock result in Riyadh on July 25

Kristian Prenga believes Anthony Joshua is vulnerable and says he is capable of producing a major upset when they meet in Riyadh on July 25. The Albanian heavyweight pointed to Joshua’s recent inactivity and predicted the fight will end before the final bell.

Joshua returns after spending much of the last year on the sidelines. The British heavyweight remains one of the sport’s biggest attractions, but questions continue to follow him after his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois and his extended absence from competition.

“He went through a lot of stuff,” Prenga said to iFL TV. “He was out of boxing for a while. He had the car accident, which I feel sorry for, and it’s my time.

“I believe. I promise you it’s not going to go 10 rounds, the fight.”

Prenga also described the style he plans to bring into the fight against Joshua.

“I’m a fighter. I’m not a boxer. I’m a fighter.”

“I’m going to shock the world, brother. I’m going to shock the world.”

The 35-year-old has never faced an opponent close to Joshua’s level, but he insists his approach will be different from many challengers who enter major fights looking to survive.

A victory for Prenga would rank among the biggest surprises in the heavyweight division in recent years. Joshua enters the fight as the overwhelming favorite, while Prenga will be stepping into the ring against the highest-profile opponent of his career.

Prenga, however, believes Joshua’s recent struggles have created an opportunity.

“I’m going to shock the world against that guy there,” said Prenga. “I’m going to shock the world.”
