Soto, 33-5-2 (18 KOs), currently world-rated No. 3 by the WBC and No. 5 by the WBO, is riding a 19-month, 10-bout winning streak — six by knockout “ including a WBC FECARBOX title victory over Emidgio Gastelum at The Orleans in 2002. This fight marks Soto’s 2004 U.S. debut. He has fought twice this year, winning both by knockout.

Alcorro, 23-5-3 (15 KOs), had his four-year 17-bout unbeaten streak broken last November via a disputed 12-round decision against undefeated Jorge Solis in their WBA FEDCENTRO title fight in Florida. It was a rematch of their exciting WBC Latin America title fight, which had ended in a draw earlier that year. Alcorro, a former IBF Latin America champion and a 10-year-veteran, has long been a fan favorite who fears no one in the ring, which explains why 65% of victories have been by vicious knockout.

The exciting undercard will feature a host of undefeated prospects risking their records against tough-as-nails opponents, including, welterweight Michael Lozada, 12-0-1(8 KOs) from Tijuana, Mexico against Rodrigo Aranda, 6-4-1 (2 KOs), from San Pedro, CA; welterweight Avelino Chavez, 10-0 (7 KOs), from Las Vegas, NV; and the beautiful, yet deadly bantamweight, Melinda Cooper, 10-0 (6 KOs), from Las Vegas, NV against Alina Ramirez, 3-2-1, from Guasave, Sin Mexico. Other exciting fighters featured include: featherweight Alejandro “Tito” Ramirez, from Sonora, Mexico in a six-round battle against Gilberto Sanchez Leon, from Mexicali, Mexico, bantamweight Omar saldo, from Tijuana, Mexico and Tomas Barragan, from Los Angeles, CA in a four-round super featherweight bout against Ramon Montano, from Sonoma, Mexico.
