Miami, FL: Former WBO Super bantamweight Champion and son of a Legend Wilfredo “Papito” Vazquez held an open media workout Today at Walter Alvarez Cross Fit/Miami Fight Gym in Miami, Florida in anticipation of his return to the ring in “Road To Redemption” as he returns home to the Kissimmee Civic Center this Friday September 20. His Father and Trainer Wilfredo Vazquez worked with his son alongside of Cuban Professor Roberto Quesada. Vazquez Jr. also participated in Telemundo’s popular program Titulares y Mas and other network programs.
Vazquez, Jr., (22-3-1-19 KO’s) of Bayamon, Puerto Rico will face undefeated prospect Guillermo “Borrego” Avila (13-0-8 KO’s) of Jamay, Jalisco, Mexico in a bout schedule for 12 Rounds for the World Boxing Organization International superbantamweight title.
Also on the card Wilfredo Vazquez younger son Jr. Flyweight Israel “El Heredero” Vazquez (8-0-2-6 KO’s), SMS Promotions undefeated prospect Emanuel “El Pirata” De Jesus (7-0-5 KO’s) of Canovanas, Puerto Rico and local prospects Craig Duncan, Lucien Harris, Angel Albelo, Ariel Vega, Angel Garcia and the highly anticipated pro debut of Alex “Flash” Roman amongst others.
