SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO- World Boxing Organization (WBO), by president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, announced today the referees and judges who will work on this Saturday, December 15, in the world title bouts to be held in United States (Donaire-Arce), Argentina (Narvaez-Quijano) and Germany (Abraham-Bouadla).
At the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire (30-1, 19 KOs), from Philippines, will make his third defense when he faces Mexican Jorge “Travieso” Arce (61-6-2, 46 KOs) in a Top Rank presentation. The referee for this fight will be Laurence Cole, while the judges are Raul Caiz Sr., Levi Martinez and Javier Alvarez. WBO supervisor for this bout will be President Valcarcel.
At the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel & Casino in San Miguel, Tucuman, Argentina, WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez (37-1-2, 20 KOs) will defend his belt for the sixth time against Puerto Rican David Quijano (15-2-1, 9 KOs) in a O.R. Promotions presentation. For this fight the referee will be Jose H. Rivera. The judges for the Narvaez-Quijano fight are Carlos Ortiz, David Singh and Ramon Cerdan. WBO supervisor for this bout will be Jorge Molina.
At the Arena Nurnberger Versicherung in Nurenberg, Bayern, Germany in a Sauerland Event presentation, WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (35-3, 27 KOs) will make his first defense when he faces Mahdi Bouadla (26-4, 11 KOs). The referee for this bout will be Mark Nelson. The judges are Mihai Leu, Clark Sammartino and Zoltan Enyedi. WBO supervisor for this bout will be Istvan Kovacs.
