World Boxing Organization (WBO), by president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, announced today the officials who will work this Saturday, May 10, in the junior flyweight world title bout between the champion Donnie Nietes, from Philippines, and the interim champion Moises Fuentes, from Mexico, to be held at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines, in an ALA Promotions and Promociones Zanfer presentation.
For this rematch between Nietes (32-1-4, 18 KOs), who will make his fourth defense of the WBO 108 pounds belt, and Fuentes (19-1-1, 10 KOs), the referee will be Robert Byrd, from United States.
Meanwhile, the judges for the Nietes-Fuentes clash will be Americans Waleska Roldan and Robert Hoyle, and Fernando Laguna-Yanes, from Spain. The WBO supervisor for this fight will be Leon Panoncillo.
Nietes and Fuentes will face for the second time this Saturday. These boxers fought on March 2, 2013, in Philippines for the Nietes’ junior flyweight title and the bout ended in a majority draw.
