Black Country Boxing’s ‘Triple Threat’ show will be covered in news broadcasts on Big Centre TV, Freeview Channel 8, when the new station launches later this month.
The new local TV channel for Birmingham, the Black Country, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton, will be present at Walsall FC’s Banks’s Stadium next Saturday, 21st February ahead of their launch a week later.
Big Centre TV will film news coverage of the three bouts and provide post fight interviews with undefeated boxers Lennox Clarke, Des Bowater and Kieron McLaren. These will be broadcast on Big Centre TV when the channel launches on Saturday, 28th February.
“We’re delighted to have Big Centre TV on board,” explained Black Country Boxing’s Errol Johnson. “To have a presence on the channel, which will be broadcast locally to over two million homes is great for the sport.
Hopefully this will be the first of many joint ventures between the two organisations and I would like to thank UKO Boxing PR for making this happen.”
Chris Perry, Channel Director at Big Centre TV, added: “Local sport is very important to Big Centre TV. Our news teams want to cover all the rising stars of the local boxing world.”
