The Countdown has begun! Matthew Macklin ready to go!

This week is a BIG week for MGM, 5 of it´s boxers are in the ring on Saturday night in Dublin.

Headlining the bill is Matthew Macklin himself, he is taking on Jorge Sebastian Heiland from Argentina for the WBC international middleweight title in an official world title eliminator.

Macklin has had one fight in the last 10 months, an eight-round points win over Jose Yebes on the undercard of Paul Smith’s world title attempt in Germany. But this is the BIG one, his most important fight for a while.

Macklin´s promotor Eddie Hearn is behind Matthew all the way, he believes he has the potential but doesn´t deny how much is riding on this fight. Neither does Matthew, “This is by far the most meaningful fight and the best opponent I’ve fought since Golovkin, so this really takes me back to where I should be.
“At this stage of my career it is a must-win fight, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
