Can Astana Arlans Kazakhstan stay undefeated against surprise package Puerto Rico Hurricanes?

World Series of Boxing (WSB) Season III winners Astana Arlans Kazakhstan are undefeated so far in the fifth season of the competition, but face a tough home match against Puerto Rico Hurricanes.

After three superb victories, the Puerto Rican Franchise have surprised many fans during their first four WSB matches and they will be looking to cause another upset in this clash.

Boxing Centre Sapiyev, Karaganda City is the venue for this eagerly anticipated Group B match, and on Saturday 14th February, fans across the world can watch the action free, live and on demand from 18:00 (GMT +6) at AIBABoxingTV.com.

WSB veteran Bantamweight (56 kg) Meirbolat Toitov also won his opening match of the campaign in week one of the competition, and puts his undefeated record on the line when he fights Luis Ruiz, who makes his WSB debut in this match replacing Garibaldy Gomez who was stopped two weeks ago.

An excellent Light welterweight match follows, with Samat Bashenov, named the best Asian boxer in WSB of 2013 looking to go 2-0 in Season V against the 1-1 Puerto Rican Jan Rivera.

21-year-old Kazakh Zhanibek Alimkhanuly won the 2013 AIBA World Championships, and the world class Middleweight (75 kg) makes his first appearance of the season against Jeffrey Flaz Guillén, who lost every round of his last match when he fought Italy’s Salvatore Cavallaro.

Caciques Venezuela host Argentina Condors in a significant South American derby

Both Caciques Venezuela and Argentina Condors come into this South American World Series of Boxing (WSB) derby with a lot to prove.

The Venezuelan Franchise looked excellent when defeating Azerbaijan Baku Fires earlier on in the season, but have lost three out of their four matches, while Argentina are still without a win this campaign, after drawing against Italia Thunder last time out.

Therefore, this Group B match is essential for either Franchise to look up the table, rather than settle near the bottom.

Estadio Polideportivo José María Vargas, Maiquetía is the venue for this eagerly anticipated Group B match, and on Saturday 14th February, fans across the world can watch the action free, live and on demand from 21:00 (GMT -4.5) at AIBABoxingTV.com.

Venezuela’s Yoel Finol has looked impressive at Light flyweight (49 kg) so far in WSB, and looks for his second win of the competition against Argentina’s Christian Eduardo Roda who makes his first appearance of Season V for the Condors.

José Vicente Azocar is 0-2 for Venezuela but has had close fights, and he will hope it is third time lucky during his fight with Bantamweight (56 kg) Elias Nahuel Gonzalez who is also looking for his first WSB win.

Light welterweight (64 kg) Yoelvis Hernandez is an experienced boxer, but may have nerves ahead of his first WSB bout against Ronan Nahuel Sanchez who narrowly lost his first match of the campaign in Poland.

Venezuelan Jose Endry Saavedra Pinto looked good last time out against American Anthony Campbell, and the Middleweight (75 kg) may be the slight favourite when he comes up against Argentina’s Christian Zarate.

Heavyweight (91 kg) action closes proceedings, where home favourite Ronald Jose Gonzalez Silva is in action with fellow debutant Dario Alcapan.

Can Cuba Domadores continue their perfect start to Season V away to Mexico Guerreros?

The World Series of Boxing (WSB) Season IV winners Cuba Domadores are enjoying a flawless start to the fifth instalment of the competition, with four consecutive victories and an incredible 20-0 individual match record.

They look to make it 25-0 away to Mexico Guerreros who have started Group A relatively well, with two wins and a brace of defeats from their opening four matches.

Gimnasio Olimpico De Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes is the venue for this Group A match, and on Saturday 14th February, fans across the world can watch the action free, live and on demand from 20:30 (GMT -6) at AIBABoxingTV.com.

Light flyweight (49 kg) Joselito Velázquez Altamirano won his first match of the season after just two minutes, and will hope for another quick night against the 2-0 Cuban 2013 AIBA Junior World Champion Joahnys Oscar Argilagos Perez.

Mexican Bantamweight (56 kg) Brian González also enjoyed a stoppage win two weeks ago, but he will have his hands full against Cuban debutant Andy Cruz Gomez.

At Light welterweight (64 kg), two-time AIBA World Championships silver medalist and Olympic bronze medalist Yasnier Toledo is aiming for his third win of the season for the Domadores when he faces Mexico’s Raúl Curiel García, who has also won his opening two matches of the campaign.

1-1 Mexican Light heavyweight (81 kg) Misael Uriel Rodríguez Olivas then competes with 2-0 Arlen Lopez is looking very sharp this season.

The Mexican Franchise will be perhaps praying that the match isn’t drawn going into the last fight, as WSB icon Erislandy Savon is in action at Heavyweight, and the powerful Cuban is looking to go 11-0 in the competition against 0-1 Daniel Paniagua.
