Octapixx LIVE is pleased to congratulate Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing for promoting the biggest boxing event thus far in 2014, as 80,000 people packed London’s historic Wembley Stadium on May 31 to watch the much-anticipated rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves which was broadcast on Sky Box Office in the UK and on HBO in the USA.
International distribution of Froch-Groves was handled by Octapixx LIVE in collaboration with Matchroom Boxing, and the event, which featured thrilling stoppages in all five of its televised bouts, was seen on a live basis by audiences all over the world.
Froch-Groves capped off a month of May that was historic in terms of international broadcaster interest in boxing, as television channels worldwide lined up to license premium events including Mayweather-Maidana, Marquez-Alvarado, Sturm-Solimon, the WBC Heavyweight Championship of the World contest featuring Bermane Stiverne versus Chris Arreola and the WBC Light Heavyweight Championship clash between Adonis Stevenson and Andrzej Fonfara; with the latter two events forming part of the substantial line-up of telecasts that were distributed by Octapixx LIVE during this unprecedented month.
