Chicago, IL (March 16, 2015)– Chicago’s top boxing prospect “Hollywood” Mike Jimenez (16-0, 10 KOs) will be part of boxing history as he will be fighting for the vacant USBA Super Middleweight title on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather pay-per-view on May 2nd, live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“This is going to be the biggest night in boxing’s history, and the biggest night of my career,” said Jimenez. “I’m honored to be a part of it. The stage doesn’t get any bigger or brighter than this, and I can’t wait to bring the USBA Super Middleweight belt back to Chicago.”
Jimenez will take on fellow undefeated fighter, Jesse Hart (16-0, 13 KOs). The Philadelphia native has won his previous three fights all by knockout or technical knockout.
“Mike is one of the top super-middle weight fighters in the world,” added Jimenez’s long-time promoter, Bobby Hitz. “On May 2nd, he’s going to show everyone what Chicago-area boxing fans have known for a couple years now; that he is a world-class fighter ready to win championships.”
Before Jimenez performs on the pay-per-view stage, he will be in the main event of Hitz Boxing’s Fight Night at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana on March 28, 2015.
“I will head to Las Vegas and win the USBA Super Middleweight title, but first I have some business to take care of in front of my fans,” added Jimenez. “On March 28th, the people at the Horseshoe Casino will get a preview of what’s to come when I face Jesse Hart.”
