This weekend it is the turn of MGM’s Thomas Stalker to take to the ring in the Velodrome in Manchester, UK.
He will be fighting fellow Liverpudlian Tommy Carus.
Stalker will come up against his scouse counterpart over eight rounds as the undercard of the Terry Flanagan
and Jose Zepeda’s clash for the vacant WBO lightweight title. Following his win over Michael Mooney in
March, Thomas has been training hard to get ready for this derby fight which promises to be explosive.
former Team GB captain has his sights set on a title fight soon and he wants to get Carus out of the way first.
“The past 9 weeks have gone fantastically well in camp with my coach Danny Vaughan and my strength coach
‘The Taffanator’, working day-in, day-out to make me a better and stronger fighter,” said Stalker. “I am looking
forward to the fight tomorrow, it’s against another Liverpool lad, so there is even more at stake, so I’m even
more excited about this.”
Every at TeamMGM will be behind him.
