MGM are pleased to announce the signing of GB star Sunny Edwards.The 6 times national champion from Croydon has inked a management contract and will be managed alongside his brother Charlie who is already on the books. Edwards the Senior ABA Champion 2015, said “I am very pleased to have signed with MGM. I am looking forward to getting my professional career underway.
After experiencing the setup and training camps here in Marbella over the last nine months, as well as seeing first hand how the MGM Management team have guided other boxers in their careers, including my brother Charlie Edwards, I knew this was the road I wanted to take.” The 20 year old continued “I am looking forward to having a professional team behind me who will ensure that I reach my full potential”.
The GB Podium member boxed as an amateur with Steel City Amateur Boxing Club and MGM Management declared: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Sunny, we have kept a close eye on him in the last 12 months and are excited about the future together. We believe that we will have him challenging for titles very soon.”

MGM Birmingham are pleased to announce their first night of boxing which takes place on Saturday 9th July at The Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, Solihull, Birmingham.
The show will be headlined by MGM Birmingham’s Michael Rooney (9-1). A determined Rooney is looking to bounce back following his first professional loss back in March.
Also featuring will be a variety of Midlands talent from the ever-growing Eastside Gym. Marcus Ffrench (12-2) of Birmingham, Kelcie Ball (3-0) of Tamworth and Harry Fiaz (1-0) of Telford will all be looking to strengthen their careers with a win come fight night. Also on the card will be MGM’s John Hutchinson (6-2-2) who will be making his second appearance of 2016 following a points win earlier this year. With even more names to be announced to the card it’s shaping up to be a great nights boxing.
Speaking excitedly of working with MGM on the first show at Tudor Grange, was site manager Simon James, “Within the six months that MGM have started the boxing here we have had a great working relationship. In what before was just an empty room is now a fully functioning boxing gym. The classes they do here have really took off and hopefully with a successful show on July 9th our partnership will continue to grow”.
