The wait seems to be almost over, as Marco Huck (38-2-1, 26 KOs) looks set to take on Krzysztof Glowacki (24-0, 15 KOs) in the not too distant future. Last week the World Boxing Organization notified the current Super-Champion that the polish fighter would be installed as the new mandatory challenger to his cruiserweight title. And the German is quite excited about the news.
“Glowacki is a really difficult challenge”, said Huck. “Not only is he my mandatory but he is also the number 1 ranked contender by the WBO. He was supposed to take on Tony Bellew in a final eliminator but it seems like the Brit got cold feet and opted to take an easier route. But for now I am excited that my first fight under the promotional banner of Huck Sports Promotion will see me take on such a strong opponent. I only want to fight the best.”
The impressive record of the 20-year-old challenger speaks for itself. Only last January he won a fight against Nuri Seferi, a former foe of Huck, by a unanimous points decision to keep his perfect record intact.
“As soon as we have come to an agreement with Golwacki’s representatives I will batter the Pole and prove a point to the world. I want everybody to see that there is a reason why I hold the Super-Champion status.”
