Landry Kore (3-0, 1 KO) can claim his fourth professional victory when he returns to the ring on June 20 at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen. Following the withdrawal of Andreas Lynggaard the middleweight prospect takes on the experienced Hungarian Norbert Szekeres (16-41-3, 9 KOs).
‘’I’m disappointed that the fight with Andreas isn’t happening,’’ said Kore. ‘’It would have been a great fight for the fans, for the show and chance for me to prove myself against another Danish fighter, but it wasn’t meant to be.
‘’No matter who I’m fighting, I’m ready to get in there, do my job and get my fourth win, and I think Szekeres will be a good test for me. He is an experienced fighter, but speed kills, and I plan on setting a high pace for this fight. Let’s see if he can keep up with me.
‘’I’m in great shape. I’ve been training for six months and I’m more than confident of winning. I just want to keep learning, keep improving and prove to everybody that I have what it takes to make it to the top.’’
In the evening’s main event Patrick Nielsen (25-1, 12 KOs) faces Charles Adamu (23-6, 17 KOs) in a first defence of his WBA International Super Middleweight title, while younger brother Micki Nielsen (17-0, 12 KOs) takes on experienced cruiserweight contender Ismail Abdoul (56-34-2, 20 KOs), Dennis Ceylan (14-0-1, 7 KOs) faces former European Champion Sergio Prado (11-4-1, 4 KOs) and Rashid Kassem (8-0, 5 KOs) battles Reynaldo Mora (7-1-1, 4 KOs).
