Jordan Shimmell, 18-0 with 15 KOs, once again sparred with a boxer to prepare him to defeat Sakio Bika. Jordan just finished a month long training camp with WBC World Light Heavyweight Champ Adonis Stevenson in preparation for Adonis’ title defense against Sakio Bika on the PBC on CBS show today at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Previously Jordan Shimmell had helped prepare fellow Michigan boxer, Anthony Dirrell, for Anthony’s title victory over Bika last August. Jordan is very adept at imitating other boxers’ styles and his versatile boxing skills allows him to box from the outside, in the inside, as a pressure fighter or as a defensive specialist. Jordan can also box from both the orthodox and southpaw stances. After sparring with Jordan for 3.5 weeks and over dozens of rounds, Adonis Stevenson is ready for anything Sakio Bika will bring to the ring.
Jordan Shimmell will be sitting ringside today in the Pepsi Coliseum and be watching to see if Adonis Stevenson can become the first boxer to ever stop Sakio Bika inside the distance. Boxing fans can watch the fight on the CBS network. The television broadcast starts at 3:00 p.m. and continues til 5:00 p.m.
