Professional Boxing comes to Fresno and the Central Valley on March 1st. The Central Valley Showdown – Volume II, will take place on Friday, March 1st, 2013 in the Regency Room at the International Catering Company located at 4277 N. West Avenue in Fresno. Live professional bouts will showcase boxers hungry to put their skills to the test and entertain fight fans around The Valley.
Dale Morris, promoter of One World Boxing, promises an evening of excitement with a diverse group of boxers including Fresno’s own Julian Lopez, Anthony Smith and Luis Villagomez.
In his second career bout, Lopez (1-0) will be facing San Leandro’s Abraham Morones, who will be making his pro debut. Smith, extremely exciting about making his pro debut in his hometown, will be facing Carlos Morales (0-1-3) from Pasadena. And Villagomez (1-0) will be fighting for the second time against Sun Valley’s Christian Silva (1-1). Also on the fight card is Dinuba’s Rodolfo Martinez, who will be debuting against Omar Barefield from Southern California.
And in one of the more anticipated fights of the night, Visalia’s Jose Leon Jr. (3-1-1) will be taking on Alonso Loeza from Gilroy, who is coming off a knockout win this past November.
“The fighters are excited and ready to put on an excellent show for The Valley!” said Morris.
