Two-Time Olympian Ivan Dychko Returns April 16

Tri-Star Boxing’s April 16 card in Murfreesboro, TN has added a huge bonus for boxing fans. Joining in on the action is, two-time Kazakhstan Olympian, Ivan Dychko. The eight-bout card is rich with fresh talent, rising prospects, and international experience. Dychko, an unbeaten heavyweight at 11-0 (11 KOs), is co-promoted by Probellum and Bulldog Boxing Promotions.

Dychko, 31, stands at an imposing six-feet nine-inches tall. His young resume is seasoned with knockouts over experienced veterans Maurice Harris, Ray Austin, and Alexander Ustinov. Dychko’s last two outings were in his native Kazakhstan. His bout in Murfreesboro, TN will be his first U.S. appearance since 2019.

Dychko grew up with Muhammad Ali, Ray Leonard, and Roy Jones Jr. as his ring idols. Dychko shared their Olympic pedigree bringing home bronze medals in both the 2012 and 2016 games. Additionally, he shares one other common trait with these boxing immortals.

“Ivan is a very athletic heavyweight,” Elvis Crespo, Dychko’s co-manager, explained. “He’s very mobile and can move off his back foot to find angles.”

Dychko has sparred with an elite class of modern heavyweights including Wladimir Klitschko, Deontay Wilder, Luis Ortiz, and Tyson Fury, whom he matches in height.

“I learned boxing from my older brothers,” Dychko stated. “I say my mind is the best weapon and, of course, my right cross. I am a boxer-puncher and counter puncher. I take every opponent seriously and will keep winning until I become world champion.”

Next up for Dychko will be veteran heavyweight Daniel Martz of West Virginia. Martz has faced a steady schedule of heavyweight contenders in Joshua Parker, Bryant Jennings, Luis Ortiz, and Charles Martin. He has a KO victory over former U.S. Olympian Dante Craig and took the “0” from Alexis Santos’ record in Boston.

“It is going to be another great performance by Ivan,” Ziya Aliyev, Dychko’s co-manager, expressed. “He is coming back to show that he is the special one.”

April 16 is rapidly approaching as Rydell Mayes Jr. will headline this night of fellow locals and world prospects at the Embassy Suites, 1200 Conference Center BLVD, in Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Doors open at 6:00 PM and tickets are on sale now at WWW.TRISTARBOXING.COM.
