Los Angeles, CA (March 19, 2015) Following up on the two sensational victories to kick off his 2015 campaign, undefeated WBO NABO heavyweight champion “PRINCE” CHARLES MARTIN has continued his rise in the world rankings.
This week it was announced that Martin has been moved up to #4 by the World Boxing Organization (‘WBO’) and #6 by the International Boxing Federation (‘IBF’).
“It’s great to be recognized by these two prestigious organizations,” said Martin. “Now my goal is to win a world title.”
The 28-year-old Martin, fighting out of St. Louis, Missouri and training at The Summit High Altitude Training Center in Big Bear Lake, California kicked off 2015 with a brutal first round knockout of veteran Damon McCreary on January 9 in Cabazon, California.
Improving to 20-0-1 (18KO’s), Martin closed the show in exciting fashion, stopping Brazilian slugger Raphael Zumbano Love in the 10th round on February 28 in Phoenix, Arizona.
“We’ve kept Charles busy and that’s one of the keys to his success and improvement” said MICHAEL KING of KING SPORTS. We’ve continuously put him in a position to succeed and now he’s going 10 rounds easily and proved he carries his power late into a fight.”
Stated manager MIKE BORAO, “These ratings are a reflection of Charles’ impressive growth and success as a boxer over a short period of time but the ‘best is yet to come’.
Details of Martin’s return to the ring will be announced shortly.
