Gloucester’s 26 year old Welterweight prospect Todd Roberts is the latest up and coming talent to put pen to paper and sign a three year contract with the ever expanding Goodwin Boxing under manager Steve Goodwin.
Todd was recommended to sign with the Goodwin’s by his good friend current Southern Area Cruiserweight Champion and English title challenger Lawrence Bennett. After a meeting with Steve and his team last Thursday Todd put pen to paper. “Meeting the Goodwin’s has restored my passion for boxing” said Todd. “They have a totally refreshing approach. I just my supporters to get behind me when I have my first fight under the Goodwin banner on 5th December at York Hall Bethnal Green in London.”
“It has always been my dream to fight at York Hall which is one of the most famous venues in the world and I want all of Gloucester to get behind me”
Roberts made his debut in June 2012 and has won 4 from his first five fights his last win being in April this year.
Steve Goodwin was delighted to sign Todd “We will be show casing Todd on one of our premier shows on December 5th where there will be some major title fights and a packed York Hall. It will be great to see Todd’s supporters get behind him as we make plans for Todd to be in title contention in the next 12-18 months. I have no doubt Todd has the talent to go all the way. He just needs direction, planning and support to make sure he fulfils his potential.”
