Middleweight prospect Kyrone “Shut It Down” Davis went into the ring this past Friday night at the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, and did exactly what he said he would do. In a Pre-fight interview with radio personality Rick Jensen of WDEL in Delaware, Jensen asked “What should people be looking for?” Davis confidently replied “Don’t blink…” He went in to the ring cool, quick, and calm. He dominated his opponent Joshua Warf of South Carolina, with a right hand, left hook combination, resulting in a first round KO in 56 seconds.
“I was so ready and focused, my main goal was to remain calm and let my hands do the talking. I trained really hard, and my team worked diligently to get me to this point. It was an amazing feeling to put on a great show for my fans…..Thanks to my fans who are so dedicated and rep for me, I just want keep on giving them a reason to show up”.
Davis who is originally from New Jersey, has lived and trained in Delaware for the past 8 years. A three-time National Champion, he turned pro with an amateur record of 91-9. He is said to be the one of the best fighters to come out of Delaware thus far.
After an epic night like that, Davis is anxious for his next fight. He is actively seeking to fight on another card within the next 45 days.
