‘Gentrification’ is a word very often associated with Downtown L.A. and it is not always a bad thing. As long as the historical character is retained, it can be nothing but beneficial for a community.
For many years the Olympic Auditorium was a haven for legendary Downtown Los Angeles boxing wars. The stars came out in bigger droves than any NBA game. The local fighters fought like fighters. And the fans drank their whiskey, threw money in the ring, and went home still buzzed from the energy of the night (and the whiskey).
PR Sports Promotions and Bash Boxing is doing it’s part to help bring glory back to this once-neglected part of town with DTLA FIGHTS at Exchange LA, the former home of the L.A. and Pacific Stock Exchange and now one of the most popular nightclubs in town.
DTLA Fights premiered last August with a capacity crowd and every bout featuring at least one local prospect. And to end the year right, DTLA FIGHTS returns Thursday, December 15, 2016 with DTLA FIGHTS: SEASON’S BEATINGS.
Rico Ramos – Former World Champion From Pico Rivera
