Plymouth Cruiserweight, Courtney Richards, is ready to be crowned British Bronze Masters Cruiserweight Champion this weekend.
The 21 year-old takes on Cumbria’s Lee Kellett for a Bronze Masters Cruiserweight Title at Torquay’s Riviera International Centre on Saturday, 21st June.
“My training camp has gone perfect,” Richards told www.uko-boxing.com. “I’ve brought in a Strength Conditioning Coach and he is working wonders for me.
“My power and fitness is through the roof, so my boxing coach can focus on my technique and game plan.
“Lee Kellett is a good fighter, so this will be a test. He can bang but so can I. I think my style will break him down as the fight goes on.
“We both have different styles and so it makes for an interesting fight. I want to win a first belt and I’m ready to beat Kellett.”
As well as Richards, there are a host of local boxers on the undercard.
Torquay super featherweight, Torryn Pook, takes on Swindon’s Joe Beeden.
Exeter trio ‘Pretty Boy’ Freddy Kiwitt (welterweight), Faheem Khan (welterweight) and Lewis Browning (lightweight) complete the card as they take on Kevin McCauley, Jason Nesbitt and Sid Razak respectively.
Tickets are £30 or £50 Ringside and are available by calling: 07837 920 150. Doors open at the Riviera International Centre at 6.30pm. First bell is 7.30pm.
