WBA Super World Featherweight Champion Chris “The Dragon” John has arrived into Perth, Australia for preparation at Harry’s Gym in Balcatta, Australia ahead of his next title defense.
John will be returning to the ring for the first time since his 18th World featherweight title defense against Satoshi “Bazooka” Hosono in April 14 of this year. The bout ended seemingly as soon as it began, as the two fought to a technical draw after just three rounds. A flagrant series of head butts by the Japanese native left the unbeaten defending champion with a nasty cut over his right eye, at which point the bout was stopped by referee Rafael Ramos and resulted in over 30 stitches.
Details of The Dragon’s upcoming title defense are expected to be announced shortly.
