Kissimmee, FL: The popular series Boxeo TELEMUNDO Ford will change sites for their fall season opener on Friday, October 9, 2015. The show will now be at the popular Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida.
In the main event former olympian and world title challenger Orlando “El Fenomeno” Cruz (21-4-1-11 KO’s) of San Juan, Puerto Rico will face Gabino “Flash” Cota (18-4-1-16 Ko’s) of Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico in a bout schedule for 10 Rounds with the WBO Latin Jr. Lightweight Title on the line. Cruz the first openly gay professional boxer is ranked #10 by the WBO and in his last fight June 26 he returned to his home country after 7 years and stopped Edwin “Bazookita” Lopez (25-4-1-23 KO’s) in the 4th round in his debut as a Jr. Lightweight..Cota, 22, in his last fight June 13 stopped Javier Lopez (10-5-1-8 Ko’s) in the 6 round of a bout held in Mexico.
“We decided to change sites because of popular demand, our loyal fans in Kissimmee kept calling and sending messages to our office asking why we where not coming this season, I realized this October marks our 14th anniversary there and decided to change sites and bring our show to them, they deserved it, it really was a no brainer.” said Tuto Zabala, Jr. President of All Star Boxing.
