On Monday, August 4th, at 6:30 p.m., TMB Entertainment will host a public workout for undefeated Welterweight prospect from San Antonio, Benjamin “Da Blaxican” Whitaker (7-0, 2 KOs).
The personal workout will be scheduled at “Team Morones Boxing Club”, located at 2108 Quintana Rd., for the local media, giving the press a final opportunity to see the 147 pound talent up close before he heads to Glendale, California, to fight fellow unbeaten prospect and former Olympian Egidijus Kavaliauskas (6-0, 5 KOs) on Saturday, August 9th.
The scheduled six round special attraction will be televised on UniMas’ “Solo Boxeo Tecate” with a 10 p.m. start time in San Antonio.
In recent interview with boxing correspondent for TRU Boxing Headz, Rod Rigo, the talented Alamo City fighter spoke candidly about the August 9th showdown.
“Camp has been great, and I’m ready for an excellent boxing match on August 9th,” states Benjamin Whitaker. “I’m not worried about the fact that he’s training with Robert Garcia, because I’m not fighting Robert…I’m fighting Egidijus. That’s who I’ll be facing on August 9th, so I’m completely focused on him.”
“I haven’t even looked at any footage on my opponent. I leave all of that up to my head trainer, Rick Morones Jr. He’s the one who studied the tapes and has come up with the right gameplan for this fight. My job is to execute the gameplan on fight night.”
To get a taste of what to expect this Saturday night from Glendale, California, be sure to come out to “Team Morones Boxing Club”, located at 2108 Quintana Rd., at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, August 4th for an exclusive peak at undefeated Benjamin Whitaker, as he displays his talents for the Alamo City fight media!!
