Cincinnati, OH May 27, 2014 – Nate Tubbs Events & Promotions has teamed up with promoter Barry Isaacs to promote a U.S. Army sponsored professional boxing event in Cincinnati, OH. 30% of the proceeds will go to help the re-launching efforts of the Nate Tubbs Group Home & Amateur Boxing Program. With the escalation of gun violence by the youth of our city the NTGH charity strives to help stop this violence and save Cincinnati’s at risk youth by providing the much-needed housing, mentoring and educational support services. This U.S. Army sponsored event is being held at as well as sponsored by the Hope 4 Change Building (old national armory) 4100 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH on Saturday, June 14, 2014 and will feature 7 well-matched and exciting bouts as the competitors square off to help save our kids.
During this charity event you are likely to rub elbows with some of boxings greatest personalities as they mingle in the crowd and come out in support of this event. Nate Tubbs asks you ”to bring a friend and support the “Put Down the Guns and Pick Up the Gloves” fundraising event and help me help these kids”.
The show’s main event is 6 rounds in the lightweight division and features one of Cincinnati’s fastest rising stars as the undefeated Mel “Black Diamond” Crossty takes steps towards his quest of a Championship title shot. Crossty (5-0-1) as a pro and is a very experienced and high level amateur boxer. He has competed for Police Athletic League (PAL) National Junior Olympics, US National Junior Olympics, was a bronze medal winner at the 2002 National Golden Gloves, competed at the 2004 US National championships, won a bronze medal at the 2004 PAL at 132lbs, reached the quarter finals of the 2005 US championships at 60kg and a semi finalist at 60kg of the 2007/2008 US Mid Western Olympic trials. “Black Diamond” will take on a fighter worthy of a main event” promises a co- promoter Isaacs and Tubbs.
The co-main event features 4 rounds of action between two highly decorated Amateur Super Middleweights. This fight will be a real barn burner as Donald Anderson (4-0) a 2x Junior National, 3x Golden Gloves and 2x Arnold Classic Champion faces an American Golden Gloves National Champion making his pro debut from Indianapolis, Indiana David MacGordon.
Under card features Cincinnati boxers in highly competitive bouts including Cedric Patterson, Dion Meadows and Brian Goldbsy.
