Fort Worth, TX—The Bud Light Pro Fight 6 Christmas Boxing Bash will take place on December 20th at 7:30 PM at the Amon Carter Exhibit Hall at the landmark Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, TX, promising to be the most action packed holiday event ever to “hit” Fort Worth.
The main event of Bud Light Pro Fight 6 will feature a Texas Super Welterweight Title fight that fans all over Texas are already calling a great fight due to the skill levels and records of both fighters. DFW’s own Texas title holder Hector “El Diamante” Vazquez (11-1) of Irving Texas will face the challenge of his life against contender Anthony Lenk (14-2) from the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada. Lenk has victoriously fought some of the biggest boxing cards in the sport and has been trying to get a match with Vazquez for 2 years. Lenk’s only losses have been to top welterweight contender Jesse Vargas and USA Olympic team member Ricardo Williams. Similarly, Texas Title holder Vazquez’s record speaks for itself. A 2008 Olympic alternate for team Mexico, Vazquez has beaten some of the best including current world Welterweight Champion Adrien Broner.
“I can’t wait to come to Texas and take care of this thing that has been 2 years in the making. This is an early Christmas present to me,” said Lenz about the upcoming title fight.
“This is a big fight. It has been a long road here with the setbacks, but I am ready to seize the moment,” said Vazquez. “Beating Lenk will put my name on the map,” said Vazquez.
In addition to the exciting main event, rising boxing and media superstar Tony Lopez will bring his same “taking care of business” style to the ring has he shoots for his 8th win to maintain his undefeated status and take his career to the next level in the six round co-main against an opponent to be determined.
Other exciting matches will include a bout between unbeatable James DeHerrera (3-0) of Fort Worth, TX against the also unvanquished Jon Baladez (3-0) of Austin, TX as both contenders go for broke to keep their undefeated records.
Another great fight in the works for the event is a heavyweight bout between Thanasis Michaloudis of Athens, Greece and his “to be determined” opponent. Also, guaranteed to be a great show will be the middleweight challenge pitting Dallas, TX against Fort Worth, TX as Joey “Panama Flash” Dunmoodie of Fort Worth, TX meets the seasoned Dallas middleweight Larry “Slo Mo” Smith, who comes to ring seeking victory with a passion after his Texas Title fight loss in August.
Fan favorite Mike Tufariello, of Carrollton, will also show up in the ring once again to maintain his great record as he faces off against Alfredo Espiricuetu of Austin, TX. Similarly, Dallas fans are also looking forward to the pro debut of middleweight David Hance, fighting out of Dallas, TX against Jeremy Mier of Tulsa, OK. Another fight bound to be packed with great punches will be Konstantino Martinez of Sweetwater, TX making his pro-debut against Jonathan Ramirez (1-0) from Arlington, TX.
In addition to 8 bouts of world class boxing including a Texas Title fight, Santa will be in the house for free photos with “kids” of all ages. There will also be Christmas holiday music, contests and giveaways for the whole family as well as free massages. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for photos with Santa.
