The Amazing “IBF Continental Africa Lightweight champion” and the number #5 IBF I/C rated Ghanaian Richard Commey has elicited great happiness among Ghanaians living in the UK and those in the Ghanian proper in Africa after dispatching the Englishman Paul Truscott in round 8 for an accelerating tournament at the London’s York Hall last night!

Richard’s enchanted demeanor on one hand and firepower on the other hand overwhelmed the Englishman and had Team Truscott fumbled for answer from round one as he spitted fires soon after the referee beckoned the start of their rumble. This was the most exciting rumble to have been staged at the London’s York Hall in recent days.

Both boxers exchanged fireworks at the beginning of the round and Truscott opened up with fast combinations and telling jabs to the hard body punches and fast footwork from Commey who did not stop to hammered home killer punch in round 8 to score the victory for the Commonwealth lightweight title final eliminator.
Richard Commey entered the York Hall with his customary Ghanian dance to the delight of the boxing fans and everyone at the York Hall was taken aback with his humor and charms. By the time he entered the ring he had already made a couple of friends and all this seemed coy to Truscott who was piping all of Commey festivities from a far.The contest was stopped by the Referee after 1min 59 seconds of Round 8 with Truscott being in no position to continue. Richard was ahead on points on all 3 judges score cards at the time
Commey and TruscottWith the win, Richard has registered his 16th stoppage for his illustrious professional boxing career and henceforth booked his place to challenge for the Commonwealth Boxing Lightweight Title. His forthcoming opponent shall brace to handle the Amazing speed and punching powers from the young African Lion!
