Al Bernstein Returns for Second Show in Four State Franchise Boxing Series

Hall of Fame boxing announcer Al Bernstein will serve as play by play announcer and host of the telecast of the Four State Franchise Boxing show on August 29 in Joplin, Missouri. The syndicated broadcast will air on over the air television stations and on Cox cable throughout a number of Midwest states including Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma.

The card will be headlined by Trey Lippe Morrison (8-0) taking on Cory Phelps, Iota Kenzie Morrison also featured against Chris Harris. The Morrisons are sons of the late heavyweight champion Tommy Morrrison. “I enjoyed doing the first of the Four State Franchise syndicated broadcasts and I’m very happy to continue with the series,” Bernstein said. He added, “Both Trey and Kenzie are working hard to add to their father’s boxing legacy and chronicling their journey is something I am happy to do because I also announced many of their dad’s major bouts.”

Bernstein has announced virtually all of Mares and Santa Cruz’ matches in the last several years on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING. “ I think this match will be a barnburner and it’s a dead even fight,” Bernstein said.
