Willie "The Gladiator" Gibbs Added To "YOUNG GUNS" At The Friar Tuck

01.01 - Lake George, NY - www.TheDailySports.com, Inc. announced today that Middleweight sensation, Willie "The Gladiator" Gibbs, 10-0 (9 KOs) has been added to the "YOUNG GUNS" At The Friar Tuck Inn professional boxing event scheduled for Friday, January 24, 2003, at the Friar Tuck Inn in Catskill, New York.

Gibbs will be featured as the Co-Main Event on a boxing card that is loaded with boxing's hottest young prospects and promises to kick off 2003 with a bang!

"Willie Gibbs is one of the best young prospects in the Middleweight division. When we got the opportunity to get Willie on this show, it was really a no brainer. He will be featured as the Co-Main Event, but is certainly Main Event caliber", stated Bill Calogero, President of TheDailySports.com, Inc. Boxing Promotions. He added, "The fans are in for a treat with Gibbs. They will get to see a future World Champion up close and personal."

Gibbs is 10-0, with 9 KOs. He is the nephew of Middleweight Champion, Bernard Hopkins. His opponent will be named soon.

Scheduled, as the Main Event is former NABF Jr. Welterweight Champion, Tony Marshall, 35-10-6 (12 KOs).

Also scheduled to appear is Catskill resident and former Mike Tyson Trainer, Kevin Rooney and his Jr. Middleweight prospect, Quran McMullen, 1-0, who will face Larry Brothers, 1-2 (1 KO) in a scheduled 4-round bout.

There will be a total of NINE bouts scheduled with the rest of the card is as follows:

4-Round Featherweight Action: Gary Stark, 2-0 (1 KO) vs Darren Williams, 0-1
6-Round Light Heavyweight Action: Adrian Diaconu, 9-0 (4 KOs) vs Sam Reese, 6-6-3
6-Round Welterweight Action: Russell Jordan, 2-1 (2 KOs) vs Vincent Russell, 0-2
4-Round Light Heavyweight Action: Chris Scarinico, 0-0 vs George McCoy, 0-0
4-Round Middleweight Action: Dex Pejinovic, 1-1 (1 KO) vs Lajuan Simon, 1-0-1
4-Round Female Action: Danielle Bouchard, 2-0 vs TBA
